For hair, beauty, nail and barber salons, a website has one main job: turning someone who’s curious into a booked appointment. Many salon sites look nice but make booking harder than it needs to be. Here’s what yours should include.
1. Online booking
Many clients want to book outside opening hours, often late in the evening on their phone. An online booking system that shows real availability means you take bookings while you sleep, and spend less time on the phone during appointments.
2. A clear service menu with prices
Visitors want to know what you offer and roughly what it costs. List your treatments by category, with prices or “from” prices and how long each takes. Hiding prices tends to put people off rather than drawing them in.
3. A gallery of your work
Photos of real results are your strongest selling point. Keep your gallery up to date and organised by service, so a client looking for balayage sees balayage.
4. Reviews
Show what clients say about you. Reviews from Google or your booking system build trust quickly, especially for new customers.
5. Meet the team
People book with people. A short introduction and photo for each stylist or therapist makes your salon feel welcoming.
6. Location, hours and parking
Make it easy to find you: address, map, opening hours, and any parking or public transport tips.
7. A fast, mobile-friendly design
Most of your visitors will be on a phone. The site should load quickly and the booking button should always be one tap away.
8. Links to your social media
Instagram and TikTok are where many salons show their latest work. Link to them, but don’t rely on them alone: your website is the place where the booking happens.
